The area of Digha has developed into a spiritual oven, while hosting the very first Digha 

Rath Yatra 2025, since the construction of the impressively large Digha Jagannath Temple. This

 represents a momentous occasion in the cultural fabric of the area with thousands of pilgrims

 and spectators flocking to the coast.

CM Mamata Banerjee road journey attracts very large crowds

As promised, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee started her road journey to Digha on

 Wednesday. It was shortly after 12:30 PM when she left the office according to reports. From her

 first stop in the Purba Medinipur district it was evident she was being greeted with large crowds.

 Enthusiastic devotees lined the roads from Kolaghat to Ramnagar, waving placards and giving

 bouquets of flowers. 

Some of the beatific highlights during her: 

She responded to her supporters from her car as she passed through Kolaghat and Tamluk which

 helped to keep her in a close relation with her most loyal followers, respectful, humble, modest. 

She stunned a few local officials by inspecting depots like the Marishda Police Station and

 Nandakumar Health Centre. 

She walked through the Kanthi Central Bus Stand, attempting to converse with students and

 party workers. 

She finally arrived in the area known as Old Digha around 6 PM. When she arrived, the sound of

conch shells could be heard and rain dropped from the clouds, heralding the whole festival of

 Jagannath. 

Digha Jagannath Temple: The Heart of Celebration

The new Jagannath Temple in Digha is the center for the Rath Yatra. The temple has been

 outfitted with lighting, fixtures, and other traditional décor to embrace the historical event of the

 Rath Yatra this Friday. The locals relish in the anticipation of a renaissance of culture for an

 otherwise subdued Digha.

Digha Outshines in The Anticipation for the Rath Yatra 2025

Both administrative preparedness and festive excitement has transformed Digha into a festival

location. The highway stretching to the Old Digha Beach House is busy with pilgrims, locals, and

curious tourist.

With the one and only CM Mamata Banerjee, in attendance, the first Rath Yatra 2025 in Digha

has become an event of community spirit and not simply a spiritual event.
